Applied Computer Training Course (Level 5)
Overview
The Applied Computer Training Course for young parents (aged 17-25) is now updated and new subjects introduced to accommodate the needs of students, employers and third level colleges. The course content concentrates on the practical computer skills and general administration skills required to work in a modern business or office environment. Educational, career and personal guidance is a strong feature of the course and students are given all the support they need to make informed decisions regarding their future career and life choices.
The outstanding Special Features associated with this course make it possible for young parents to avail of this opportunity as they are supported both financially and practically with childcare places in our new state of the art crèche facilities on campus (depending on availability of places). In addition, further financial support is provided with a weekly attendance allowance. These financial supports do not normally affect their secondary benefits (e.g. medical card, rent allowance).
