Cartoon Animation (Level 5)
Overview
The course is a one year foundation programme introducing the concepts involved in the production of Animated Film. It explores the basic principles involved in Traditional Drawn Animation, 3 Dimensional and Computer Generated Animation. It will equip students with the various technical skills required to use Animation as a medium of creative expression, to practice in the Animation Industry or to progress to further study.
Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate (5 passes) Leaving Certificate Applied or equivalent
Applicants of mature years will be considered on their merits
Applicants portfolios will be assessed at interview stage
Portfolio Preparation
•All applicants are interviewed with a portfolio of work to assess suitability
