Applied Science (Level 5)
Overview
This course is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in Laboratory Science. The FETAC Level 5 links scheme will enable successful certificate students on this course to progress to Institutes of Technology. Students can also be admitted to UCC on a competitive basis.

Leaving Certificate (5 passes)
Leaving Certificate Applied or equivalent
Applicants of mature years will be considered on their merits

Students may progress into the first year of the Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Applied Physics and Instrumentation, Analytical and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Herbal Science.
Students may also apply to a range of Higher Education Institutions through the Higher Education Links Schemes.

Students can be admitted on a competitive basis to UCC for entry to the following degree programmes:
