Animal Grooming (Level 6)
Overview
This course allows students to acquire practical experience of grooming in the college’s Grooming Room and in work experience, and to gain knowledge in the related areas of Kennel management, Showing and Training. A scientific module is also delivered, designed to develop an understanding of the products used in Animal Grooming and the effects of such on animals depending on the breed and individual animals physiology.
Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate (5 passes)
Leaving Certificate Applied
or equivalent
Applicants of mature years will be considered on their merits
Work experience in Animal Care is of an advantage in application
To apply to any Level 6 Animal Care course you MUST possess Level 5 or equivalent with relevant modules.
